Welcome , nice companion. Nice family walk (8 adults and grandchildren ) Clean boat . Beautiful discovery of the lagoon , the foothills surrounding it , privileged villas , up to the pass leading to the ocean . Expensive for what we experienced.
We got off to a bad start when the young skipper suggested we sit at the back of the boat - as it was better for him! He wouldn’t have to talk so loudly, he explained. How about a small mic? Aside from that - and while he was perfectly nice - he didn’t ask anything about his four passengers, to let us get to know one another and, while he did his best, was unable to answer a lot of our questions. We got the feeling this was not his regular job, so we’d spent quite a lot of money on a 1hr 15m boat ride where we saw no wildlife, and nothing we hadn’t already seen from being on land. We booked on the strength of the excellent reviews but for us, Unfortunately it wasn’t magical at all, especially for the price (we paid much the same for 2-3 hour game drives), and we were rather disappointed.

A Magic Experience
We were lucky enough to have the trip to ourselves and what a wonderful experience! We checked in with the very friendly staff (who double as mooring hands!) bought a bottle of bubbly and climbed aboard. Really enjoyable

We had a wonderful time exploring the Knysna Lagoon with my sister and her family on the 104 year old mahogany vessel.Definitely worth a visit when traveling to Knysna!
